Friday 16 November saw us welcome Jack & Phil of Broken Crown to The Bustard Inn. This acoustic pair wowed a packed pub with vocal performances of songs throughout the ages from ‘Fly me to the moon’ to ‘Sultans of swing’. Along with our Friday night regulars, there were new faces who had come to support the boys and the bar area was filled with song, dancing, clapping and the occasional ‘whoop’. By the third encore (‘A wonderful world’), everyone was singing along with this thoroughly talented and entertaining duo. And like Arnie, they will be back!
Why are they called ‘Broken Crown’, you may ask?
Remember the old nursery rhyme, ‘Jack and Phil went up the hill………………’!
