Exceeding Expectations
We have been going to The Bustard for years. We are occasional visitors. The food in the past has been hit and miss, but always to a standard that kept us going. It has always had good service, nice cosy dining rooms, clean and well cared for. The outdoor tables with a drink, garden flowers and dogs are glorious in the summer months. South Rauceby is a sweet, quiet village. Our last lunch inside on a cold March day was really wonderful. I don’t know if they have changed anything, but our food was a step up. The sauces were layered, rich and beautiful; the textures of crispy fried leaves added to the dish. Each element on our plate was lovely. Really impressed. Give our compliments to the chef.
