We thought that we would give Sunday Lunch a try and we were not disappointed. The Roast Beef was perfectly cooked and the Cauliflower Cheese was very cheesy. Our only slight criticism was the mashed Carrot and Swede had a very overpowering herby taste that my husband didn’t like. The Yorkshire pudding was very crispy and we had to request extra gravy to make the most of it.

We chose The Duck and Black Pudding Terrine starter and the Lemon Posset dessert to finish. Both were very good.

The restaurant was full, but we didn’t have to wait too long for our food to arrive between courses. The service was good, and the staff were attentive without being overly attentive.
