We took advantage of the September kitchen closure to have a sneaky few days away ourselves in the first week to refuel and relax. The second week saw us hosting a book and puzzle sale to raise money for our Village Hall revamp. With the help of some scrumptious cakes from Nicky at Hill Farm..

August saw us host three fabulous weddings; all bespoke and just as our brides and grooms asked for. These were very special to us as two of the weddings were linked closely with our village, so felt like family, and the third was for Tina & Matt (pictured with their blessing!) who are regular customers..

As the temperatures continued to astound us, we had a very busy July. We welcomed B.D. Lenz and the boys back for their annual visit, hosted a Turkish themed wedding and kept you all fed and watered in true Bustard Inn style! Read more…

Wow, what a hot June we have had! We did our very best to keep you all fed and watered (and puppacinoed!) during extreme heat last month and I am particularly proud of my staff who soldiered on regardless – especially the kitchen team working in insane temperatures! We are in for a dip this..

We were excited to host visitors from far away as we welcomed Margaret and Catherine from Brisbane, who were in Lincolnshire for a three week stay to see extended family. I am told they had a lovely Sunday lunch with us and hope to visit again next time they are over. On a slightly sadder..

The gorgeous weather brings all the beautiful people and their beautiful cars to the pub!  This nice little number was parked outside last Sunday whilst its owner enjoyed a lovely afternoon in our garden in the sun.  We love the warmer weather and the happy vibe it brings to The Bustard – it really does lift the spirits..
